Exceptional Quality, Low Cost Self Service Lodge Accommodation in Lake Wanaka.The luxurious budget Lodge has a wonderful ambience with warm and friendly wood lined walls, a spacious well appointed lounge with a large stone open fire place. Most importantly the Lodge is maintained by friendly caring staff to a 5 star standard.There is a large light and bright modern fully equipped kitchen and dining area with a pantry and refrigerator shelf allocated to each of the 10 well appointed bedrooms that sleep from 2- 5 people. In addition there is a TV room, Internet room, free spa pool, drying room and ski/snowboard repair and store room. The lodge is situated in spacious mature tree lined grounds with a tennis court, barbecue area and ample off street parking.The lodge is in easy walking distance along the lake waterfront to the township of Wanaka and is on the arterial route to Treble Cone according to many NZ best ski field.Wanaka Township with its lakefront cafe culture overlooks Lake Wanaka and the majestic snow covered peaks in the background - making Wanaka according to most visitors, the most scenic town in NZ.Wanaka is geared for the summer with all sorts of water sports, trout fishing, golf and some of the best hiking and mountain biking in NZ - not to mention the night life.During the winter months Altamont is a skier/snowboarder’s paradise - within half an hour of Treble Cone, Cardrona down hill ski fields, NZ’s only cross country ski field and NZ only specialist snow board park. And of course there is heli-skiing.
