Rod Bowman CPF, GCF, of Bowman Fine Arts is a Certified Picture Framer (USA) and a Guild Commended Framer (UK). Rod was instrumental in bringing the GCF qualification to New Zealand in 1997. The first elected Master of the New Zealand Branch and Court of the Fine Art Trade Guild (UK) 2001-04. Rod Bowman was awarded a Scholarship by the PPFA (Professional Picture Framers Association USA) in 2006 and subsequently was successful in passing the exam. Rod is also a member and past President of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Framers Incorporated. NZIPF (Inc). Rod has also appeared on four television programmes, discussing the Art of Picture Framing on the ' Good Morning ' Show ( TV1 ), and a consultant for the TV3 programme ' Target ' on Picture Framing. Being an authority on Picture Framing Rod is involved in public speaking on picture framing topics and also writes articles on framing for the benefit of framers in general.
