Ukhamba Beerworx is one of the first black-owned craft beer breweries in South Africa. The company was founded in 2014 by Lethu Tshabagu and Noluyanda Roxwana. When these two created this company, they had a vision on developing craft beers that were unique and appealed to the local beer lovers. They also wanted to make their brews unique and rooted in the local culture so that foreign visitors can sample a taste of the land when they visit the brewery or buy products from it.
This brewery offers a vast selection of locally produced craft beer, along with other options such as South African wines, lagers, and ciders. The company is currently hard at work in creating more distribution channels in order to make their beers and brewery products more available to their customers. Currently, their beers and wines are supplied to various liquor stores and restaurants in South Africa. They aim to be able to supply their products to more channels nationwide.
