Avionic Systems was started by Ken Thompson and Rien de Muynk in 1963 as a Pty Limited Company and converted to a Close Corporation in 1986. Over the past forty-three years we have served clients ranging from large fleet-owners to individual pilots flying one light aircraft – and we continue to do so. Our Workshop Manager, Arthur Wurdeman, and our Inspector, Pieter Breedt, who are both highly competent, fully licensed technicians, boast seventy-six years of avionic experience between them. We offer pre-sales advice as well as after-sales support and advice to our clientele. Based at Rand Airport, we regularly service a range of customers at Grand Central, Wonderboom, Lanseria and Johannesburg International Airports. We are also prepared to travel to neighbouring states when necessary. Our repair facility offers ready access by both road and air. Our premises caters for parked aircraft on the runway side of our building. We carry a range of spares in stock and have speedy access to others offshore. Indeed, we are in constant contact with our overseas suppliers, placing orders and exchanging information.
