My love for photography: was born in the mid 1980’s, while attending high school in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I got my first film camera and joined the school photography club.

For various reasons that elude me, I stepped away from photography from about 2001 until 2012. In 2012 I bought my first digital camera and have not put it down since!!

My approach to wedding and social event photography is focused on capturing the atmosphere of the day and the character of the people I am photographing. I always try to capture the feeling of the day, often standing back and focusing on less posed, candid photos that tell a story about the event – the essence of the day…

Naturally, I also make sure that I take all the traditional “formal” photos that record the day and who was there.

I am more than happy to travel for photographic assignments to destinations within South Africa or abroad.
