WELCOME TO INTERACTIVE SPORT

Interactive Sport is a sports events management company formed in Johannesburg in 2002, with a combined expertise of over eight years in event coordination and arranging of sporting events, for corporate's, clubs, schools, foundations and administration of various sports leagues.

In 2004 satellite offices were opened in Cape Town and Durban to facilitate the administration of our activities in these regions.

DIVISIONS

Corporate Soccer Leagues

The leagues were started to formalise a large informal industry where companies wanted to compete against each other in order to benefit from the various team building, moral building and networking opportunities.

The leagues started in Johannesburg with 24 teams in 2002 and have grown substantially to accommodate 120 teams per 3 month season (incl Pretoria).

The Cape Town and Durban branches opened in early 2004 and already play host to around 50 teams in each of the regions.

There has been exciting new growth in the women's leagues with around 20 teams participating nationwide.

SuperSport has been the naming rights sponsor of the leagues since January 2003 and has renewed their sponsorship on an annual basis since then.

The leagues offer the participants the opportunity to participate in small sided outdoor soccer activities with their colleagues, competitors and clients, whilst keeping fit at the same time.

Corporate Sports Events

We have been involved in coordinating and running company sports days since before our inception and they range from Inter Company and Inter Divisional Sports Days, to mass participation tournaments and events.

These single day events include:

Annual Orlando Pirates Corporate Soccer Challenge
The inaugural event started off in 2002 with 56 teams competing to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Orlando Pirates, South Africa's Oldest Football Club. 2003 saw 72 teams participating in the same event and 2004 had 96 teams competing for the title. The event plays host not only to over 1000 players but also sees over 2000 spectators, family members and supporters enjoying the day's festivities, including good music, kids activities and signing sessions with their favourite players.

Nashua Corporate Soccer Festival in aid of Nkosi's Haven
This event was put together to raise funds through active participation from companies through playing a small sided soccer tournament, that included a separate Beach Soccer Tournament, IN JOHANNESBURG. The tournament consisted of 56 teams participating in both grass soccer and beach soccer at a venue in Johannesburg, and at the end of the day raising money for an AIDS Haven based in Johannesburg.

Telkom/Vodacom Soccer Challenge - SuperSport Show Durban
The Telkom/Vodacom Soccer Challenge consisted of 3 events, a Junior Soccer Challenge and Soccer Clinic for kids from 6-12 years old, a Social Challenge for 32 social teams and a Corporate Challenge for 56 sides, which took place at the SuperSport Show in Durban in 2004. This was the first time the show was in Durban and the soccer tournament was one of the busiest sections of the show.

Heineken Industry Soccer Challenge
The tournament was designed for the benefit of the Restaurants, Bars, Clubs and Modelling industry of Cape Town, in order to bring the leaders of this unique industry together for a fun filled day of soccer.

Having run these events over the past few years we have gathered a substantial database of companies, clubs and individuals that have entered these events and expressed interest in others, and utilize these contacts for future events and tournaments, therefore guaranteeing contacts that have an interest in these type of events.

Sports Tours

Utilizing our unique database of sporting enthusiasts we are able to offer great packages for trips and tours around the country. These tours consist of either tours for teams to compete in other regions in their chosen sport or to view international and national sporting matches.
