The directors have extensive experience in public practice, and some of them have completed their respective training periods with international auditing firms. LDP has its headquarters in Stellenbosch and a service office (without any residential directors) in Mossel Bay. Our traditional clients, however, derive from across South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique while the growing number of overseas-based clients attests to the firm's international expertise. In 2008 LDP passed an IRBA Audit Review in order to perform statutory audits on so-called A and B (as classified by the new Companies Act) companies. (Traditionally our focus had been on private companies, now classified under the C heading.) We are thus able to service the needs of all audit clients and to maintain the highest level of quality in our services. LDP sees Black Economic Empowerment as crucial to the quest towards an equitable and just South African society and in accordance with the Codes of Good Practice of the BBBEE Act has been rated at level 3. International exposure is i.a. derived from our membership of the world-wide auditors’ organisation Polaris IA – a group consisting of close to 170 independent firms present on all 5 continents. This link enables both our in-training and qualified clerks to gain invaluable international experience.
