Botha and Deysel Motors started in the year 1982 when Kobus Deysel and Frikkie Botha sold their first vehicle, a 1976 Volkswagen Passat. They both took a R1000 and put it into the business to open Botha and Deysel Motors Vereeniging on 17 February 1983 with a total stock of only 2 vehicles and sink offices. About a year later they moved their offices to 17 Rhodes Avenue where they are still based today. ABSA rewarded Botha and Deysel Motors as one of the Golden Dealers since 1989-2011. Botha and Deysel Motors is one of only 2 Dealers that has been chosen as ABSAs Top Golden dealer for 5 consecutive years. In 2004 the South African Handels institute and Rapport also awarded Botha and Deysel Motors as the 3rd best business in the Country. In 2011 Kobus Deysel and Frikkie Botha made a business decision to divide the business in to two. The main reason was because of the children that also formed part of the business.
