WISEPOWER CO.,LTD. is a Korea-based company primarily engaged in the battery pack business. The Company produces rechargeable battery packs including inner pack and hard pack Li-ion battery packs and Li polymer batteries, as well as battery cells. Its battery packs and battery cells are used for cellular phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), notebook computers, moving picture experts group layer-3 audio (MP3) players and others. The Company is also engaged in light emitting diode (LED) packaging business. It distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets. As of December 31, 2011, the Company had 10 affiliated companies. On March 22, 2013, it sold additional shares of the United States-based company. After the transaction, the Company held 38.95% of the United States-based company.
