CJ Corporation is a Korea-based holding company engaged in the management of its subsidiaries. Through its subsidiaries, the Company operates five businesses: life science business, food and food services business, new logistics business, entertainment and media business and infrastructure business. Its subsidiaries include CJ Cheiljedang Corporation, engaged in food, feed and biotechnology businesses; CJ O SHOPPING CO., Ltd, involved in the television (TV) home shopping business; CJ E&M Corporation, engaged in the broadcasting, online game, movie, music and concert businesses, among others. On August 31, 2011 and December 27, 2011, it sold its entire shares in CJ Venture Investment and East Bus, equivalent to 90% and 50%, respectively. On March 22, 2012, the Company liquidated its wholly owned subsidiary, which was engaged in the storage and conveyance businesses. On March 25, 2013, the Company divested its logistics business into a newly established wholly owned subsidiary.
