Dongbuka No. 2 Ship Investment Company (the Fund) is a Korea-based investment fund engaged in the ship building market. The Fund aims to achieve capital growth for investors through cater services of a vessel to shipping companies. The Fund was created to acquire a 299,700 deadweight ton (DWT) very large crude oil carrier (VLCC), Universal Hope, built at Denmark's Odense Shipyard in 1993. The vessel has been chartered to Hyundai Merchant Marine Co., Ltd. for 10 years from the point of delivery. The investment manager of the Fund is Korea Marine Fund Corporation (KOMARF) and the custodian company is Korea Development Bank (KDB).
