KOREA PETROCHEMICAL IND. CO., LTD. is a Korea-based company engaged in the manufacture of petrochemicals. The Company mainly produces synthetic resins, including propylene (PP) and high density polyethylene (HDPE), which are used for pipes, wireways, containers, household appliances, fishing nets, films and others, as well as by-products, which are used for adhesives, asphalt modifiers, coating materials and others. It also provides basic petrochemicals used as raw materials of PP and HDPE, and industrial gas, such as nitrogen, oxygen, argon and others. The Company distributes its petrochemicals within domestic market and to overseas markets. As of December 31, 2011, the Company had four affiliated companies.
