This bathroom exhaust fan duct is hooked up to the plumbing vestibule stack. Sewer gas is explosive and could settle back into your exhaust fan which has an electric motor that is not rated for explosive gases. Sewer gases are also toxic. PLEASE HIRE AN INSPECTOR!
Chances are your Contractor has used the best materials to build your new home. They have a lot to lose if they don’t. However, sometimes substitutions are made and corners are cut making your home not up to code. A pre-drywall home inspection can catch these violations.
Is your dishwasher loud? Does it give off too much heat? It is most likely missing insulation. This is something we catch frequently at new construction inspection. Insulation is confused for packaging and thrown away.
Hire a company that knows code!! Grounding to a gas line does not work (NEC 250.104 (B) requires the bonding of gas piping and the service valve before the meter is a dielectric fitting that prevents the underground piping from being an electrode).
