Akron Children's Occupational Therapy provides specialized evaluation and treatment for infants, children and teens who have difficulties with fine motor skills, visual-perceptual skills, cognitive functioning and sensory processing. The therapy team evaluates play, school performance and daily living tasks, recommends and fits specialized equipment when needed (splints, feeding or dressing aids, communication supports), and delivers programs such as outpatient services and an Infant Therapy Program (birth to age 3). Care is coordinated with pediatricians and other providers to maximize independence and participation in home, school, and community activities.
