Bernalillo Academy is a sub-acute, psychiatric residential treatment center that specializes in treating boys and girls ages 4-17 years old with Autism Disorder, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and other Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. The Bernalillo mission is to empower families and their children through comprehensive, specialized treatment in a home-like residential setting that impacts positive improvement of each child’s quality of life. Our environment focuses on behavioral change through a diverse approach to treatment, including Applied Behavior Analysis-based therapies (ABA), 24-hour on-site nursing care, intensive psychiatry care, as well as individual, group, and family therapies.
