We offer hands-on instruction in all of our healthcare and beauty programs that prepares you with real-world skills that lets you step into a career in the Clinical Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Massage Therapy, Cosmetology, Esthetics and Healthcare information and Billing fields.

The Cosmetology Diploma program is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/art principles and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry. Blue Cliff’s program combines lectures in cosmetology theory with “hands-on” practice in the salon. It also introduces students to professional standards, aspects of personal and career development and the legal and ethical responsibilities of workers who interact physically with clients and apply cosmetics. Blue Cliff’s approach provides a simulated salon environment that enables students to develop manipulative skills and knowledge that can lead to an entry-level career in the field of Cosmetology. Graduates of the cosmetology program are eligible to take examinations required for licensure as a Cosmetologist.

The normal completion time for the day program is 12 months and for the evening program, 19 months. Upon successful completion of the 82 credit hours/1500 clock hour program and all other graduation requirements, the program culminates in the awarding of a Cosmetology Diploma

At Blue Cliff College, students receive the most industry-current training needed for a cosmetology career. Our cosmetology classes cover hair cutting, skin, and nails to prepare you for common cosmetology duties.

The HIMBC program prepares students for entry-level positions in medical insurance, billing and coding, as well as in medical office administration. Both the diploma and degree programs cover the basics of medical billing and coding along with healthcare administration. The degree program also provides additional, advanced training in HIMBC along with General Education requirements common to an Associate’s Degree program.

Cosmetology programs are designed to prepare you for all aspects of the cosmetology industry and for receiving your cosmetology license. Each graduate of Blue Cliff College’s Cosmetology School will have had the opportunity to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to become a licensed Cosmetologist.

The Massage Therapy Diploma program provides a solid foundation in anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology that form the basis for training in specific massage therapy techniques. Hands-on techniques include Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Massage, Basic Shiatsu and Supervised Clinical Practice. The diploma program prepares the student for entry-level positions in the massage therapy industry. Successful completion of this diploma program qualifies the graduate to test for massage therapy licensure or registry in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi and provides eligibility to sit for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Examination.
