Ervaar het kalmerende geluid van de Kalimba en Mbira! In de workshop Kalimba en / of Mbira kun je de speeltechniek leren en liedjes spelen op de Kalimba of de Mbira dza vadzimu. Je leert ook hoe het instrument is opgebouwd en krijgt de kans om te luisteren naar een uitvoering van traditioneel Afrikaanse kalimba- en mbira-repertoire. Je hebt ook de mogelijkheid om een traditionele mbira-dans te leren. De Kalimba, een lamellofoon met 15-toetsen ook wel Nyunga Nyunga genoemd, heeft zijn origine in zuidelijk Afrika. De Mbira dza vadzimu is een Zimbabwaanse lamellofoon met 22-24 toetsen. Beide instrumenten worden gespeeld op metalen toetsen met de duimen en de wijsvinger.
