I am a non-invasive general cardiologist providing both preventive care and ongoing management of cardiovascular disease and comorbid conditions. I also have specialized expertise in advanced cardiac imaging including cardiac computed tomography (CT), nuclear cardiac imaging and echocardiography. I've always loved science, learning how things work, and working through the various puzzles medicine presents, but my favorite part of my job is the opportunity I have to leave a positive impact on my patient's lives and to build long term and meaningful relationships. Prior to my training in cardiology, I completed an additional fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. This gives me the additional experience and knowledge to provide the best care possible to my older patients with complex and chronic disease. I grew up in Portland, Oregon but came to UNC for residency in 2017. My wife Caitlin and I fell in love with North Carolina, and we are glad to call the Triangle home. We are blessed to have two young kids who keep us quite busy. In my free time, I enjoy running, traveling, watching movies, trying new restaurants, and watching Oregon Ducks Football (Go Ducks!).
