A native of Michigan, Dr. Taylor received his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, where he also completed his internship and residency. He obtained a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. Before joining Piedmont Physicians at Vinings, Dr. Taylor served as medical director and, later, vice president of the PROMINA Managed Care Organization. He continued to practice part time as an internist with the Piedmont Physicians Group. Dr. Taylor is board-certified and has extensive experience in internal medicine. He has committed many hours to volunteer work, serving as medical advisor and lecturer with several community organizations. For four years, Dr. Taylor was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Community Programs for Clinical Research on AIDS. Dr. Taylor believes medicine is a partnership with patients, involving cooperation and compassion. He works with each patient to develop an individualized plan of care. In his free time, he enjoys bowling and playing and watching sports.
