Dr. Robert E. Karsch is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist serving patients in the Atlanta and Decatur areas of Georgia. An expert trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Karsch renders the most comprehensive surgical care for all shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, knee, hip, and sports injuries. He also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of fractures and trauma.
Dr. Karsch is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his orthopaedic residency training at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a recipient of the Richard Selznick Award for Outstanding Research in Orthopaedics and was named Atlanta Magazine’s Top Doctor from 2010 to 2017. Dr. Karsch has provided orthopaedic consultation services to many academic and corporate institutes including MARTA, Keebler, Waffle House, Marshall, Winn-Dixie, Spelman College, and many others.
Dr. Robert Karsch was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He has since relocated to Atlanta where he currently resides with his wife of over 25 years and his 2 children.
