Kara Crafts, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with experience in the perioperative management of cardiac surgical patients. Her clinical interests include coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and aortic valve surgery. Passionate about patient care and education, Kara is dedicated to guiding patients and their families through each step of the surgical journey with clarity and compassion.

Kara earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Indiana University, completing her graduate training at the IU School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She further advanced her surgical training through a specialized Physician Assistant Pediatric Surgical Fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Outside of work, Kara enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her husband and two boys.
