Pickens Technical College is an accredited career and technical college in Aurora offering more than 25 hands-on certificate programs for adult and high school students. Operated by the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education and accredited by the Council on Occupational Education, it is one of only three accredited technical colleges in Colorado. Programs cover Arts & Technology, Business & Marketing, Skilled Trades, Health, Human Services, and Natural Sciences, including Nursing, Dental Assisting, Welding, Cosmetology, Diesel Technology, and Culinary Arts. Certificates can transfer toward an Associate of Applied Science degree through Community College of Aurora. Aurora Public Schools students may attend tuition-free while in high school
