Dr. Philip Storey grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Episcopal High School, where he graduated valedictorian. After a year-long Rotary youth exchange to Argentina, he matriculated at Vanderbilt University on a full-scholarship. With a passion for languages, Philip studied Spanish in Salamanca, French in Senegal, and Mandarin in Beijing, graduating college summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He then earned a Master of Public Health with merit at the University of Sydney in Australia before attending Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
