I chose health care because of what I experienced as a child. I was diagnosed with an eye condition which required me to see multiple physicians and have multiple surgeries performed. I grew close to those doctors. They significantly impacted my quality of life. Medicine was a natural choice for me. I knew I wanted to have a similar impact and build similar relationships. I chose family medicine because I like doing a little bit of everything. I get bored if I do the same thing over and over again. Family medicine provides variety, and I take pride in being able to care for patients from little babies to seniors. My favorite part of the job is the relationships that I get to build with people. When patients choose a PCP, they're picking someone to be in their corner and who's going to be with them on their best and worst days. The fact that they trust me to be that person for them is extremely rewarding.
