USTA Alabama was established in the 1957 and has a current membership of over 11,000. The Alabama Tennis Association (ATA) is run by a volunteer Board of Directors. A professional staff, housed in Birmingham, carries out the operations of the organization.
Every year we sanction over 100 tournaments for all levels, support competitive and recreational tennis leagues around the state, provide multiple program and clinic options for all ages and ability levels and give thousands of dollars in grants.
USTA Alabama is the state affiliate for the United States Tennis Association in Alabama, and is commonly referred to as the Alabama Tennis Association.
