Glass artist Josh Simpson took time out from making new work Friday afternoon to sign some of his colorful bowls for Vermont Artisan Designs. These and other bowls, vases and megaworlds are now waiting for you in Brattleboro.

Blackthorne Forge in Marshfield, operated by Steven Bronstein, is one of the 136 participants in the Vermont Crafts Council's Open Studio Weekend May 25 and 26.
