I specialize in hematology and transfusion medicine. I serve as an assistant professor at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, with dual appointments in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and the Department of Medicine. I care for patients with nonmalignant hematologic disorders and myeloproliferative neoplasms at the University of Vermont Hematology Clinic.As the Medical Director of the Blood Bank, I oversee the safety and effectiveness of blood transfusion practices at the University of Vermont Medical Center.My research focuses on bleeding disorders and the intersection between the immune system and hematologic disease, with a particular interest in acquired hemophilia A.
