Caring for patients with gastrointestinal issues is an extremely rewarding experience. The patient is the center of care, and my role is to educate them, guide them through treatment options and help them navigate the health care system.I have specialized expertise in general endoscopy (including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy), therapeutic endoscopy (such as endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), as well as pancreaticobiliary disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. To be effective, I need to stay current on the diseases I treat. During my 25 years of service at University of Vermont Health, I have introduced multiple technologies, including endoscopic ultrasound, laser lithotripsy for bile duct stones and endohepatology.
