During the wellness exam, your vet will conduct a nose-to-tail physical exam including looking inside the mouth at the gums and teeth, listening to the heartbeat and lungs, inspecting the coat and skin, feeling the joints and muscles, and palpating the stomach and abdomen to feel for abnormalities.
