Dr. E. Ahono Gildersleeve firmly believes that everyone deserves a stunning smile, and it’s this passion that has driven her career in dentistry. Combining expertise, a friendly demeanor, and a relatable approach, Dr. Gildersleeve is dedicated to helping patients achieve the smile they’ve always dreamed of. Having graduated with a BS in Biology from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, Dr. Gildersleeve went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Touro College of Dental Medicine in Hawthorne, NY. To further expand their knowledge and skills, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at NYU Langone, with specialized training at Shatkin Dental Health in Buffalo, NY. In 2025, Dr. Gildersleeve became a diplomate of the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants, the only global organization dedicated solely to mini dental implants. Trained by the esteemed Dr. Todd Shatkin on Mini Dental Implants, Dr. Gildersleeve brings a wealth of expertise and a unique perspective to the field of dentistry. In July 2021, she joined her father’s practice, a Mini Dental Implant Center of America, in the greater Pittsburgh area after completing her residency, proudly carrying on the family tradition as a third-generation dentist.

Alyssa is our chief dental assistant and has been in our office for 5 years. In addition to assisting in clinical procedures, she is also a certified phlebotomist and performs all of our L-PRF procedures and blood draws. Alyssa said the most rewarding part of her job is taking care of patients and helping them achieve a beautiful smile. Alyssa is grateful to have a job she loves and to be working with two wonderful dentists at Brockley Dental. In her free time, she likes being outdoors and enjoys spending time with her family and her black lab, Clutch.

My name is Dennis. I am a front office administrator as well as patient management. I started working for Dr. Brockley and Dr. Gildersleeve as part of a family move. I am proud to say that Dr. Brockley is my brother and Dr. Gildersleeve is my niece. Before moving from Michigan to Pennsylvania, I was a block mason for 39 years. Working for a family practice has been a pivotal change in allowing me the ability to work later in life. Since working for Dr. Brockley and Dr. Gildersleeve, I have realized what my lifelong passion always was. I enjoy working with patients and getting to know them. After working with the patients for a while, some of them even become more like family and sometimes even describe our staff as family. I enjoy kayaking with Clara and our dogs. I also enjoy an occasional round of golf, spending quality time with my family, and traveling back to beautiful Northern Michigan to spend time with family and friends.

With 37 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Lee Ann is passionate about both oral health and the people she cares for. She loves connecting with patients, getting to know them, and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their dental care. Her thorough approach ensures that every patient receives high-quality care in a welcoming environment. For Lee Ann, building relationships and making a positive impact on her patients’ health is the most rewarding part of her job.

Hello! I’m Makayla, but I prefer going by Mik. I am one of our front office administrators, and I have been with the office since 2020. Besides front office administration, I have worked in the back office in instrument sterilization, and fun fact: This was my first job. I started at the office when I was in high school. I like typing up sedation schedules and organizing miscellaneous things around the office. I am a full-time college student at Slippery Rock University working on my bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I have an associate’s degree in criminology. In my free time, I like reading, writing, bonfires, concerts, and hanging out with friends.

My name is Shavon. I am a dental assistant here at Brockley Dental. I joined in the summer of 2024. Since then, I have enjoyed getting to know the patients and learning new aspects of dentistry along the way! I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity I was given and for how wonderful the staff is. Outside of the office, I love rescuing cats with my boyfriend and finding them the perfect home. I also enjoy being outside to tend to my garden or just to sit on the porch with a nice cup of tea! I can’t wait to keep meeting more patients here; new patients or ones who say they have never gone to any other dentist. My favorite thing about the patients is the loyalty they have for the best doctors around!

Dr. Donald Brockley earned his doctorate degree in Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine in 1972. He is a second-generation dentist and a legacy of the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, where his father, Dr. Charles R. Brockley, earned his doctorate in general dentistry in the year 1927. While attending the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, he held the office of Class Secretary for his graduating class. Following dental school, he chose to do his residency training at Wilmington Medical Center in Wilmington, Delaware, with a focus on research. Upon completing his residency, Dr. Brockley enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War Era as a Naval Officer. Dr. Brockley opened his own private practice in 1975 in Butler, PA, a historic town just 34 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Brockley held the office of President of the Butler County Dental Society. In 2025, Dr. Brockley was recognized as a Diplomate by the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants for his advanced training and expertise in the field.

My Name is Clara, I am our office manager as well as the financial coordinator. I started working for Dr. Brockley and Dr. Gildersleeve in April of 2023, after 25 years in the income tax field. My passion is working with people and making them smile. I have gone from finding people money through their income taxes to helping patients gain a smile they can be proud of. The best feeling since working in the dental field is seeing a patient walk into the office with their hands covering their mouth in embarrassment, to their hands down and being extremely proud of their new smile. Beautiful smiles really do change the outlook that a person has on themselves. The most important part of my job is helping patients find financing options to be able to accept the treatment they need. A tad bit of personal information about me is that I have been married for 37 years to the love of my life, Dennis, who is also an integral part of our team at Brockley Dental. I have 4 precious Shih Tzu that are introduced on BrockleyDental.com website and 2 goofy cats. In my spare time, I love to shop, spend time with my family, snuggle my dogs, and my favorite activity is kayaking in beautiful Northern Michigan.
