HOW I WORK:

My primary aim is to be of value to you in every session. I endeavor to add quality to your experience and to help you take a step toward your goals every time we meet.

First I check any pre-conceptions
I might have before I meet with anyone. I like to put myself in a non-judgemental stance of acceptance, openness and what I like to call “beginner's mind”. I use all of the skill, experience and training I have to meet my clients where they are, to understand how you think/ feel and how your situation effects you. I like to practice going “under the hood” to perceive not only what is being said (content) but also how it is being said and what emotions might be underneath the words that are spoken in session. My joy
is to help find the most practical solutions to your concerns that I could possibly find in the shortest time possible. My goal is for you to be independent and to live the life that you may have only dreamt was possible for yourself.

Clients come in with different needs: Some people really need someone to listen to their story and this being heard is where the big change happens. Others need gentle guidance and support to clarify decision making and life course such as navigating through
a difficult transition. Some people want help feeling more stability in their moods and less controlled by them. Others are looking for freedom from panic attacks, anxiety, daily worries & stresses and/or catastrophic thinking that is eroding their quality of life. Some people come to my office needing to process a loss, a series of losses or trauma when grieving has not begun or has taken over their lives. What my work comes down to is: Helping people to find ways to enjoy their time here more.
What we have are moments, one after the other, with the possibility of great joy and where the best in us can show up.

In over 15 years I have helped hundreds of couples and individuals successfully move through difficult symptoms and challenges, find deeper meaning and greatly improved connections with others.

I will help you move beyond uncomfortable symptoms (anxiety, depression, low energy), clarify your goals and take action steps toward achieving them, find your inspiration and have greatly improved relationships. For the last 15 years in her therapy practice she has helped her clients move to the next level in their lives.
