Eating when you aren’t hungry, emotional eating, compulsive eating, binging, or withholding food because you feel or look fat, for control or to punish yourself, are all symptoms of deep-seated primary problem that you may or may not be aware of. Whether the root of the problem was brought about by you or not, blaming doesn’t help. It is important to de-construct the wall that has become too high for you to climb over on your own, and build a place of safety and joy, with plenty of space for you to construct a new life that includes eating what your body needs, what you want, and what tastes delicious.
