Josh Visserman, M.D. specializes in wound care, specifically managing chronic and complex wounds and hyperbaric medicine. He is one of the few fellowship-trained wound care physicians. He provides care for diabetic foot wounds, venous and arterial leg ulcers due to poor blood flow, pressure sores related to paralysis and hospitalizations, post-surgical wounds, traumatic wounds and other atypical wounds. Originally from Canada, he grew up in Fort Mill, South Carolina and attended Clemson University. He trained at MUSC for medical school and residency and then completed a Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
