From August 2017, the Sammy Snacks retail outlet in the Millmont Shopping Center near Barracks Road is now trading as The Posh Pets Supply Company under the ownership of Louise Carelsen who comes to Charlottesville after 15 years in Botswana owning and managing a luxury horse safari business providing week long mobile safaris on horseback viewing some of the finest wild game to be seen anywhere in Africa. Trained as a professional rider and horse trainer, Louise’s involvement with all things animal is long lived and intense. Even living in the bush, she has never been without dogs or not been involved with their care, and it is this interest and dedication that she brings to The Posh Pet Supply Company. Louise’s ambition is to not only provide your pet with a complete range of high quality, all-natural dog foods and treats using only premium ingredients with no chemicals or fillers but also a complementary range of unique accessories sourced both from the USA and abroad, like handmade beaded collars from South Africa.
