If you or a loved one is a survivor of addiction, prostitution, or sex trafficking and seeking support, Love’s Arm is just one call away. Established in 2005 by sex trafficking survivor Mimi Nikkel, this non-profit organization in Chattanooga, TN, is committed to spreading the message of healing and providing the support women after surviving prostitution and sex trafficking situations.For 16 years, this organization has been reaching out to women in situations of sexual exploitation, serving as a pillar of Christ’s love and hope. Volunteers reach out to women working in street prostitution, providing hygiene supplies, food, water, clothing, and transitional resources. This organization also hosts other community outreach programs for women in strip clubs and incarcerated women, including Bible study, letter writing, and prayer. No matter a survivor’s specific situation, volunteers will provide compassion, a listening ear, and a sense of community.
Not only does Love’s Arm offer programs of healing, but they are partnered with a cost-free holistic recovery home called Rahab’s Rest that provides housing, health care, and other assistance to sex trafficking survivors and victims of addiction-related prostitution for 18 to 24 months. Residents will have access to a variety of services, including educational assistance and job training, to help them prepare for the future.
Working in close collaboration with the Chattanooga Police Department and Chattanooga Mayor's Council for Women, this women’s advocacy center commits to helping women leave dangerous situations.
