The Divorce Center opened its doors in New York in 1979. From the outset, we had a simple, step-by-step process that made everything quick and painless – so regular people could come to us for an uncontested divorce, at a fraction of the cost of hiring an attorney. Word spread, and soon our paralegals were filing hundreds of cases each week. Before long, we had seven centers in New York and New Jersey. More than four decades later, we have processed over 250,000 divorces across the two states, earning a coveted A+ rating with The Better Business Bureau.
