I chose to become a social worker in order to help and be of service to others. My approach to patient care is compassionate, empathetic, warm, flexible, and eclectic. I focus on patient strengths and create an environment where the patient’s full self is welcome, accepted, and valued. Areas of special interest include young adults, life transitions, veterans, and perinatal mental health. I enjoy learning new therapeutic approaches and integrating them into my clinical work. I enjoy practicing and teaching yoga, taking walks with and without my dogs, reading fiction, spending time with my family, and cooking up new recipes at home.
