Dr. Meredith Collins is a plastic surgeon at the University of Vermont Medical Center and an assistant professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM in Burlington, VT. Dr. Collins specializes in breast reconstruction after breast cancer, skin cancer, correction of tuberous breast deformity, cosmetic breast surgery, breast reduction surgery and oncologic surgery.
Her research interests include breast reconstruction and tuberous breast deformity.
Dr. Collins shares a deep love for science and knew at an early age that she wanted to practice medicine and take care of others. Knowing that she has improved someone’s life, even if in a small way, gives her great satisfaction. She finds the most rewarding part of her job is working together with her patients so they feel comfortable, knowledgeable and ready to embark on a journey together. She is deeply committed to providing the highest quality care to her patients.
As an assistant professor, Dr. Collins also feels fortunate to be training the next generation of doctors and imparting her knowledge and experience on residents and medical students.
