Sultan Siddique, MD, FACC, FHRS, is a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist at Prisma Health Cardiology and a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine–Columbia. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in New York City and completed his residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Dr. Siddique is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. He is skilled in performing many device implantations including pacemaker, leadless pacemaker, ICD, biventricular device, Sub-Q ICD, sub-sternal ICD (EV ICD), septostomy, etc. In addition, instead of TEE, he uses intracardiac echocardiogram to implant all types of available left atrial appendage closure devices (Amulet or Conform or Watchman) depending on the anatomy and suitability of the appendage.

With the help of intracardiac echocardiogram, he performs ablation procedures for all types of arrhythmias, including SVT, WPW, atrial tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, PVC, ventricular tachycardia (endocardial and epicardial) and ventricular fibrillation without any usage of fluoroscopy (radiation). He also performs concomitant or combination procedures of ablation and left atrial appendage closure device implantation together. Dr. Siddique has performed approximately 250–300 ablations a year since 2004. He is a primary investigator in ablation trials and co-investigator in multiple device and ablation related trials.

Outside of work, Dr. Siddique enjoys spending time with his family, travel, photography (Instagram: sultansiddiquephotography) and playing tennis. He runs a youth program to feed the homeless, mentors students, and volunteers in churches and mosques.
