Since 1963, the Improvisation Comedy Clubs have been premier stages for live comedy in the U.S., launching the careers of many of today’s biggest stars. Before joining NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” David Spade performed regularly at the Tempe Improv. Bette Midler worked as a cocktail waitress at the original New York Improv, where she first showcased her singing talent. Other alumni include Lily Tomlin, Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, and Drew Carey. Today, the Improv continues to spotlight the next generation of comedy greats.
