2023 has been a very busy year…
✅ I passed the last of four FINRA licensing exams. That process took a full year of studying.
✅ I interviewed and was selected to become an agent in Duncan, South Carolina. I left behind an amazing agency in Missouri that I helped build from day one.
✅In May I began a corporate internship with State Farm. I built friendships and connections with my class that I will cherish for the rest of my career.
✅ We sold our house and moved 850 miles leaving behind family, friends… everything we ever knew.
✅ We began the process of rebuilding life and stability in our new home. New job for Brett. New school for the kids. New church. New friends. So much new!
✅ We started from scratch on a brand new office location. We worked through taking it from a concrete floor with no walls to a fully finished and furnished office space.
✅ I found, hired, coached and trained 3 outstanding team members. They will always have a special place in my heart as the OG3 ❤️ I am blown away by how far they have each come in just 3 months. I would be lost without them!
✅ With their help, on October 1st, we launched one of the first two State Farm agencies ever in Duncan. We have worked hard to build trust and a reputation for treating everyone who walks in just like family. Over 50 five-star reviews on Google is evidence of the experience we’ve worked hard to create.
I am so thankful for all of the opportunities I have had this year. It has been an unbelievable amount of work. Sometimes I can’t even believe all that Brett and I accomplished in 12 months. I couldn’t have done it alone and I am immeasurably grateful for all the support we have had along the way.

My sweet baby Luke came to the State Farm office for the first time when he was two weeks old! Mama had applications for customers that needed to be closed on a certain date, so he came with. Six years later, he still loves to come to work with me on teacher workdays or holiday breaks. He vacuums the doormats, shreds paper, walks to the post office with me and greets customers! He tells anyone who asks what I do, "My mom is a State Farm Agent!"
