Meet Dr. Bjorn
Foot and Ankle Specialty Center: Svend Bjorn, DPM is a premier podiatry practice dedicated to providing high-quality care and cutting-edge solutions for their patients. The practice has two offices that are conveniently located in Paris, Texas, on Deshong Drive, and in Durant, Oklahoma. Dr. Bjorn is an experienced podiatrist with a special interest in treating ankle fractures, wound care and limb salvage, sports injuries and trauma, and pediatric patients. From diabetic neuropathy to plantar fasciitis, he has seen it all.
Dr. Bjorn graduated from Brigham Young University in Idaho and earned his podiatry degree at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Illinois. He then completed his residency training at the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois, and at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. During his time at the VA hospital, he gained much experience in wound care, bunions, hammertoes, flat feet, sprains, and strains. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Bjorn and his podiatry staff offer a friendly, comfortable environment, and they enjoy getting to know all their patients. As a proud small business owner, Dr. Bjorn is dedicated to offering personalized care to each of his patients and features the most cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment options available, including shockwave therapy and convenient on-site ultrasounds. He is an experienced surgeon but always attempts conservative treatments first if possible, as he keeps his patients’ medical and financial concerns top of mind. In-office, Dr. Bjorn performs minor surgeries, from ingrown toenails to lesion biopsies, as well as heel injections.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Dr. Bjorn brought his wife home to Texas in 2015. He has five wonderful kids that keep him and his wife busy and on their toes.
