Matt is originally from Texas but grew up in Washington state for most of his life until he moved to the Portland area in 2021. He earned his Bachelor's of Science from Central Washington University while majoring in Clinical Physiology with a minor in Physical Rehabilitation Therapy. Matt went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University at the Health Professions College in Hillsboro, OR. He has experiences working with a variety of patients which include orthopedics, athletes, chronic pain, neurological/vestibular disorders, and fall prevention/balance. Matt is bilingual with his native language being English and second language Spanish. He is a former Track athlete with over 10+ years of weightlifting experience. Matt strongly believes in the importance of establishing health literacy, building intrinsic awareness of the body, and advocating for consistent productive movement to decrease injury risk, prevent falls, and become self-sufficient with managing pain. In his spare time Matt enjoys discovering new music, running, weightlifting, playing basketball, hiking, cooking, and sculpting.
