Dr. David Jeong, MD is board-certified in Allergy & Immunology and serves as the Columbia University Director of Clinical Allergy and Immunology at New York-Presbyterian The One in Westchester County, NY. Dr. Jeong specializes in the care of children and adults with food allergies and has been involved in the development and use of innovative food allergy therapies since early in his career. His clinical and research work focus on advancing evidence-based treatments that improve safety, quality of life, and long-term outcomes for patients and families living with food allergies. He has served as principal investigator on numerous clinical studies evaluating emerging therapies and remains actively engaged in research to expand safe and effective treatment options.

In addition to food allergy care, Dr. Jeong treats patients of all ages with asthma, allergic rhinitis, sinus disease, eczema, hives (urticaria), swelling (angioedema), eosinophilic esophagitis, drug allergies, stinging insect allergies, and immune deficiencies. He is committed to developing individualized treatment plans and partnering closely with patients and families to provide clear guidance, education, and ongoing support.

Prior to joining Columbia University, Dr. Jeong was a partner in a large private practice in the Washington, DC area, where he also founded a dedicated food allergy treatment center serving patients across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. He previously served as Division Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Virginia Mason/Benaroya Research Institute and as Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA.

He completed his fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at the University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, his medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University. He is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He continues to collaborate with advocacy and research organizations to advance the field and improve care for patients with allergic and immunologic conditions.
