I am a first generation American born in New Jersey to a mother from Ecuador and a father from Puerto Rico. I am fluent and literate in the Spanish language. I have been working as a Registered Nurse for 11 years and decided to attend school to become a Nurse Practitioner in 2015. With my experience as a visiting nurse in Northern New Jersey, I understand that many factors such as family, friends, and environment can either support or hinder health.
