Scotty R. Newcomer, D.O., is an orthopedic sports medicine physician with Norton Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Newcomer earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga, and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Louisville.
He is involved in providing medical coverage for Churchill Downs, Bellarmine University in Louisville and Hanover College in Indiana. He also serves as an assistant team physician for Justin Sportsmedicine Team, covering rodeos.
Outside of work, Dr. Newcomer enjoys spending time with his wife five children.
