About Dr. Katona
With expertise in trauma, general surgery and surgical critical care, Chad W. Katona, MD, has held related positions at hospitals and medical schools in Ohio, Indiana and Nevada. In addition, he has been an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery and a Clinical Instructor of General Surgery and Trauma Surgery.
Dr. Katona earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, and a Doctor of Medicine degree at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN. He was a General Surgery Resident at Indiana University Department of General Surgery, followed by holding positions of Surgical Care Fellow and later an Acute Care Surgery Fellow at University of Nevada School of Medicine – Las Vegas, NV.
During his career, Dr. Katona has served on hospital and educational committees, and given presentations and written articles, sharing his knowledge on procedures and practices.
