At Mountain Blue Cancer Care Center we certainly share in our patient’s goals: Live longer and better. To reach these goals, we implement strategies that are unique and proven to be successful. For certain cancers, especially those at more advanced stages, the conventional treatment protocol is to use a combination of chemotherapy drugs that is “as aggressive as the patient can tolerate.” Although this strategy brought marginal improvement in survival, the quality of life and cost of treatment is less than optimal.
