A-Plus Trophy and Signs was born in 2002 and started by owner Al Smith of Evanston. Al saw that Evanston was in need of a local business the could produce high-quality awards, trophies, and plaques at affordable prices. Al decided to invest the money and effort into starting such a business, and A-Plus Trophy and Awards was born. Al purchased a computerized engraving system and immediately began to manufacture trophies and awards for some of the local schools and sports clubs. Since 2002 the business continued to grow and in 2011, Al decided to purchase a local sign business that had been operating in Evanston since 1993. Cajun Signs owner James Richard retired and Al purchased the business from James and combined it with the trophy and awards business to create A-Plus Trophy and Signs. Now in addition to trophies, awards, plaques and the like, A-Plus trophy and signs also offers many services from vinyl banners to vehicle graphics and window graphics to advertising specialties, sometimes known as promotional products with custom logos. Al uses computerized graphics software to produce high-quality vinyl graphics and continue the tradition of quality and service that Cajun Signs customers have come to know over the years. At the same time, Al continues to be the go-to guy in Evanston for quality trophies, plaques, awards, and engraving. Ask anyone in Evanston about trophies and engraving, and they'll tell you to "Go see Al at A-Plus!" Al is happy to be here in Evanston and happy to have even more services to offer than ever before.
