Dr. Nicolas Ruiz is a board-certified interventional cardiologist at the Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida with advanced training in coronary, structural, and peripheral interventions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he was a Global Health Scholar, and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Ruiz is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Interventional Cardiology. He has co-investigated several clinical trials, including the STEMI Door-to-Unloading Trial and Impella ECP Pivotal Trial, and has published peer-reviewed research presented at ACC and TCT. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Ruiz is committed to patient-centered care.
